Saturday, March 14, JDRF will be hosting their annual Spring Gala at the Monona Terrace. - 4:30-7:30 pm (estimated)

This event is the Western Wisconsin Juvenille Diabetes Research Fund's largest event, raising close to $500,000 in one night. MHS theater students have helped in the past at the Gala, and JDRF would like to invite students once again to sign up to help at our event. This year the theme for the Gala is "Lights, Camera, Cure!" aka Hollywood. We will have some local celebrities (Charlie Shortino) and hopefully some professional athletes (Packer Allen Lazard) attending but are also hoping to have some "look-alike" celebrities as well as some actors who can pose as TV reporters and paparazzi on the red carpet who will be chatting with guests who are arriving. We welcome both current and past celebrity look-alikes. Students are welcome to choose for themselves who they think they can portray.
They are looking for about 20 students to help out, but will take as many as are interested--the more, the better. Students can of course, earn service hours for their participation. Dinner is provided for all volunteers, and they are welcome to stay and watch the program, bid on silent auction items and stay for the live band and dancing after the program. It is a black-tie optional event, so Homecoming/Prom attire would be best.
